Exactly one year ago, Major Nidal Malik Hasan shouted "Allahu Akbar!" and used a laser-sighted pistol to methodically murder 13 soldiers at Fort Hood and wound over a dozen others before he was felled by law enforcement officers.
Despite the fact that Hasan had spoken repeatedly - and favorably - about Muslim suicide attacks within the US military, the president insisted that the American people shouldn't "jump to conclusions" about his motivation. And even now, a full year later, the official government report on the massacre refuses to even mention "radical Islam" as a possible cause.
Which seems to make it rather insulting that Barack Obama is "jumping to conclusions" and treating the host countries on his Asian getaway as if they are dens of terrorist activity. The trip is estimated to cost taxpayers as much as $200 million per day, owing largely to the amount of security the president seems to believe he needs to protect him from people of different races and faiths.
We could go on and on about this president's hypocrisy...but instead, Hope n' Change simply asks you to take a moment today to think about the fallen and families of Fort Hood. And to remember that it was, and is, real blood that stains the altar of political correctness.
